About the Symphony

Are you tired of leaving valley to get your culture fix?  Well, you don't have to do that anymore.  The Santa Clarita Symphony is here!

The Santa Clarita Symphony is a group of 75 professional musicians, many who live locally, who perform with many nationally recognized orchestras including the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

For us, it's not just about Mozart and Beethoven.  From the casual atmoshere of Quartets & Coffee to the always educational Children's Instrument Petting Zoo, and from the delectable food, fine wine, and period music of our popular Bon Appetit! Wine Dinners, to the powerful concert performances of our Masterpiece Series, the Santa Claria Symphony has something for everyone.

Led by Maestro and Music Director Robert E. Lawson, the Symphony provides world-class orchestral experience that will enrich the lives of everyone fortunate enough to call the Santa Clarita Valley home.

Beyond the orchestral events, the Santa Clarita Symphony is deeply committed to Music Education. It is one of our cornerstones.  That’s why, early on, the Board of Directors created an Educational Outreach program designed to bring classical music into the Valley’s public schools.  We have developed educational programs to enchant and stimulate your children to play instruments, including In-school Music ensemble performances, and lecture “informances."
