ARMEN ANASSIAN In addition to playing violin with the L.A. Opera, is Concertmaster with the Symphony in the Glen. He first collaborated with Santa Clarita Symphony Maestro Robert E. Lawson in 1999 when he performed Brahms’ “Violin Concerto” with the Symphony of the Canyons Orchestra.Anassian has studied Instrumental Conducting and Violin Performance in the United States, Armenia and Germany. His teachers include Rainer Kussmaul, Sidney Weiss and famed conductor Michael Zearott. Anassian has held Conductor and/or Concertmaster positions with noted groups such as the Freiburg Chamber Orchestra, the Heidelberg Chamber Orchestra and the International Zelt Musik Orchestra. Locally, Anassian has been a featured soloist with the California Philharmonic, Pasadena Pops, Riverside Philharmonic, Burbank Symphony, Antelope Valley Symphony and Pacific Palisades Symphony.
