Santa Clarita Symphony Kicks Off Concerts In the Park SeriesThis Saturday, July 5, Central Park, 7pm Admission is Free The Santa Clarita Symphony salutes the great American Musical featuring songs from Rogers and Hammerstein, Bernstein and Sondheim along with Tin Pan Alley composers such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin. A patriotic musical salute would not be complete without Marches from John Philip Sousa. No tickets are required. Children's Instrumental Petting Zoo The Children's Instrument Petting Zoo is part of the Symphony's initiative to promote early childhood music education and has brought the excitement of playing orchestral instruments to hundreds of Santa Clarita Valley children. |

Music Director, Conductor The Santa Clarita Symphony is led by Maestro and Music Director Robert E. Lawson. Mr. Lawson is known for his innovative programming and his unique compositional style.
Mr. Lawson currently chairs the music department at Ventura College and is a member of the music faculty at College of the Canyons. He is also the music director the Santa Clarita Youth Orchestra and previously served as music director for the Symphony of the Canyons for six years. |
