Board President

Andy Pattantyus is the founder and President of Strategic Modularity Inc. (SMI), a firm offering management consulting services and project planning, with a focus on facility planning, factory workflow optimization, and strategic planning.

Music Director, Conductor

The Santa Clarita Symphony is led by Maestro and Music Director Robert E. Lawson. Mr. Lawson is known for his innovative programming and his unique compositional style.

Mr. Lawson currently chairs the music department at Ventura College and is a member of the music faculty at College of the Canyons. He is also the music director the Santa Clarita Youth Orchestra and previously served as music director for the Symphony of the Canyons for six years.

John Dow

Marketing Director

John is President and CEO of The Dow Group, Inc. and management consulting firm. Mr. Dow founded Signature Custom Apparel, a company specializing in branded apparel for Corporate and Studio and Entertainment companies. In addition to running Signature, John is a Board Member and Director of Marketing for the newly founded Santa Clarita Symphony.

Bob Kellar

Advisory Board Chairman

Bob Kellar was the Symphony's first Advisory Board Member, joining the board in 2006. Bob considers one of his primary responsibilities to be his availability to our citizens and to do what he can to maintain a high level quality of life for all. Throughout his 25 years as a Santa Clarita resident, he has played an active role in the community, serving on several local non-profit boards and committees.

Michael Millar

Executive Director

Executive Director and Grammy Award-winning bass trombonist Michael Millar has been a freelance performer in Los Angeles for over 20 years. Dr. Millar is a member of the Music Industry faculty at California State Polytechnic University – Pomona and holds many credits to his name.

Michele Mann

Vice President and Legal Counsel

Michele Mann graduated from McGeorge School of Law. She primarily practices in estate planning, wills & Trusts , Probate and general business law, and has represented both large and small corporations and consumers in a variety of employment, business litigation, and consulting matters.

Jim Blazer

Past Board President

Jim is co-Founder and Partner of The Wealth Planning Group, a professional services firm specializing in comprehensive wealth management for individuals and small to medium size business owners and he currently holds an Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation.

Jeffrey Gilbert

Education Director

Education Director Jeffrey Gilbert is currently teaches music at Rio Norte Junior High School. He earned degrees in Music and Music Education from California State University – Northridge in addition to his California Teaching Credential. While at CSUN, he studied conducting under Paul Smith. He has served as Interim Choral Director at the First Presbyterian Church Newhall and Interim Director of Music at Oneonta Congregational Church, South Pasadena. Jeffrey lives in Santa Clarita with his wife Marie and sons Billy and Chris.
